Yama's Fish Market has been a cornerstone of the Honolulu community since 1980. Three generations of local families have grown up on our slow-cooked lau lau, kalua pig, fresh poke, and homemade haupia desserts — and we owe that to every customer who has walked through our doors. We are truly grateful you've kept us here.
Everything we serve comes out of our kitchen on Young Street — the same recipes, the same care, passed down through the years. We're just grateful to still be here, doing what we love, for the community that has always supported us.

Best fish on the island, in my humble opinion. Staff is always helpful and patient with customers. Easy to order and great selection too. The flavor on the poke helps to boost the taste rather than drown it out — you can actually taste the quality of the ahi. Hard to justify paying for poke that has mayo on it when Yama's uses actual chili for their spicy. Get there as early as you can as they sometimes sell out!

I love their poke, adobo, long rice, garlic chicken, mochiko, lau lau, lime haupia... I can go on and on. Their food is fresh and tastes like home made. Parking lot is kinda small and there's always a line — but it's worth the wait! Can't wait to get back!
